Fundación Universidad Salamanca promotes the transfer of knowledge in Panama

The General Foundation of the University of Salamanca and the Catholic University Santa María la Antigua (USMA) of Panama (private) today signed a four-year agreement for the transfer of knowledge.

 

The managing director of the General Foundation of the University of Salamanca, Óscar González Benito, told Efe that the agreement with the USMA is part of a project led by the Salamanca University and other houses of Spanish studies "for the opening of a International excellence in Panama City ".

 

 

Activities planned include collaboration with local institutions and universities, such as the USMA and Panama's National Competitiveness Center (CNC), to promote knowledge sharing, training of professionals in different fields and the development of collaborative initiatives, Said Gonzalez.

In equal terms was signed the framework agreement of collaboration between the General Foundation of the University of Salamanca and the Foundation National Center for Competitiveness (CNC), which also chairs Planells.

 

The CNC, said Planells, "has a lot of faith that you can transfer all that knowledge that the University of Salamanca can contribute to improve competitiveness."

 

The Superior Institute of the Judiciary of Panama "Doctor César Augusto Quintero" (ISJUP), the Judicial Body (OJ), and the General Foundation of the University of Salamanca signed another agreement to create a "program of cooperation and training as a legal framework Necessary for the development of joint activities in areas of common interest in the field of knowledge transfer ".

 

The cooperation program of the agreement, which is 5 years and will come into force after endorsement by the Comptroller General of the Republic, includes actions such as missions of experts to accompany the evolution of the ISJUP, the promotion and development of academic research and participation Jointly organized in colloquiums and workshops, which "will be financed through the shared cost modality, unless otherwise agreed."

 

The president of the Supreme Court of Justice of Panama (CSJ), Jose Ayu Prado, who signed the agreement, told Efe that it will help the "academic and integral training of the best judges, judges and subordinates in the OJ to provide the Best public service ".

 

A cooperation agreement was also signed between the Universidad Pablo de Olavide in Seville, Spain, and the Panama Ministry of the Environment, which aims to develop joint activities in the area of ​​training and research, as well as staff training activities Technician at the service of the Panamanian ministry.

 

"The general objective of this agreement is to promote technical assistance, exchange and scientific-technical development in the areas of research, extension and training between parties," said the document, which has a validity of 4 years renewable from firm.

 

The agreements were signed by the managing director of the General Foundation of the University of Salamanca, the Rector of the USMA and Director of the CNC, Juan Planells Fernández, the president of the CSJ.
